June

I love how much Isaac looks like Olivia and Ethan looks like Alayna!

Olivia puked on Alaynas head!

My birthday party!

Journal Entry might be boring!
Not much has been happening lately; I have just been raising kids and trying to get back into the grove of life! We took it easy this past weekend, stayed home and had some friends over. Josh is a photographer and took over 400 pictures of the girls for us. It’s not easy taking pictures of twin babies, so I am so glad we were able to do it at home! On Monday we ventured out to see Toy Story 3, the boys loved it and the girls even sat and watched it too! It was so nice to get out and do something; it is hard to get people that can watch the kids so kid friendly activities are the way to go I guess!
We blessed the babies last month; it was a crazy day but turned out great. The blessings were so beautiful, and I am so grateful to have the priesthood in our home.  Grandma Laura made Olivia’s dress and Grandma Vickie made Alayna's dress.  The dresses and girls were so pretty, it is wonderful to have these little girls! Alayna is getting so big, I think she 13 ½ lbs now. I hold Olivia a lot and let others hold Alayna because Olivia’s neck needs to be held right or it will pop out of place and hurt her. I think Alayna has had enough of that. She will cry until I hold her and snuggle her little face into my cloths and sigh with relief, she is so sweet and has such a wonderful personality and smile! She is also so strong she is a lot like Ethan in looks and structure!
Olivia is finally starting to smile on cue, she will also talk to her sister and they will go back and forth cueing.  Olivia’s is finally getting more meat on her bones, but out of all my kids I think she has her Daddy’s shape and metabolism. She can eat as much as Alayna and more, but you wouldn’t think it by looking at her! I think she is now 10 ½ lbs, and everything about her is petite, but she is still just as long as her sister. Her hair is starting to lighten and the girls are starting to look more similar in color. Olivia and Daddy have bonded more this month and it is so cute to see them talking to each other.  They have the same profile and facile expressions!
We finally got the girls room done and grass in this past month, it is nice have such major things done! Hopefully we well keep the momentum going!
Ethan is growing up so fast and is really starting to talk, but you can’t talk to him! If he wants to talk to you he has to see you doing something and he will start the conversation. He is so shy and it reminds me of me at that age, if people talk to him he gets mad and angry. I can remember the feeling as a child of being scared when people talked to me. Poor Ethan, I hope he comes out of that soon!
Isaac finally had his surgery on his hernia a week ago. I took him to meet the doctor and a week later Tyson took him to have the surgery. I was going to go, but it was at 6:30 in the morning and I wasn’t going to take four kids anywhere at 6:30 in the morning! Isaac loved all the attention and the hospital and staff were wonderful. He wanted root beer and strawberry in his mask, and they even let him take the mask home! He told the nurses all kinds of stories and loved that they came in and did play therapy before the surgery with the little doll and everything! He told them he was going to be a baby doctor (OBGYN) when he grows up! Luckily, Tyson said he left out the magic zipper part this time! It was so hard keeping him down afterward, I finally gave up! I hope everything heals okay, that kid doesn’t slow down for anything.  Isaac is looking forward to school starting this year; I am looking forward to school too! Isaac needs to have things going all the time and I think school will help him with his constant need for entertainment!  The friends and park next to the house have been wonderful for the boys; they are always out having fun!
Tyson went on another work trip a few weeks ago, this time it was to Baltimore. I don’t think it was his favorite! He is finally starting to come home earlier, yeah!! Now he is gone from 7-5 and sometimes he can get home at 4:30! It so nice to see him more!
I am so glad to be to the point that I can clean and cook, and get out and do the things I want to do. I feel so wonderful; I sometimes forget that I don’t have a supermodel body. I then see a picture and think “Oh yea, I just had twins! “  Oh well, things take time, one day I will look the way I feel! I remember sitting in the hospital dreaming about the day I would be able to do the things I am doing now, I am so glad I have come that far and have such wonderful healthy girls!

You sound like you are doing fantastic! And that picture was you blowing out the candles, right? Yeah, you had twins like two months ago, you look great! How is life with four, that was my hard adjustment for sure! I don't know if it was a girl or #4, I don't know, but I was beat. Anyway, you sound so happy, that's great. Your kids are adorable!!

Jolene- You look fabulous! I didn't just have twins (Jacob is 20 months old) and I'm still workin' on my baby belly! Your kids are all so adorable. I love seeing how closely each girl resembles on of her brothers. They are such cute little dollies. Things are always so surreal after having a baby. It sounds like you are getting back to "real life." You are a great mom!
